Nexus can now offer an alternative to Kingston for calls and lines in Hull

Nexus Telecommunications Ltd have negotiated a ground breaking deal with Kingston Communications which enables Nexus to offer business customers in the 01482 (Hull) Telephone area a real alternative provider of telephone services. This essentially enables Nexus to provide calls and lines including free local calls to business customers, offering savings of up to 25-30% on their current telephone bill. The deal signed in June 2009 commits Nexus to a bulk purchase deal with Kingston and in return, they receive a substantial discount enabling them to offer call rates from 0.9p per minute and line rental at up to 20% discount. Nexus have an excellent trading relationship with Kingston Communications purchasing many other services for delivery outside of Hull where this arrangement is commonplace. SMS and data roaming prices to be capped in July 2009

The charge for roam texts will be capped at a maximum of 9p, compared to the current 23p from countries within the EU. Cross-border voice calls will be billed by the second rather than by the minute, and data charges will also be capped at 79p per megabite.

Delay in Ofcom Legislation

*URGENT* Delay in Ofcom Legislation - at last weeks Ofcom Number Translation Service Forum the telecoms industry was informed about the following. Ofcom has announced a delay in the implementation of the 0870 regulations due to concerns about pre-call announcements. The 1st February, 2008 is therefore not applicable, no firm date has been set.
